Description: 
 
Level I: students will learn to make digital videos, create and edit their own movies, and prepare their videos in web format for the web. Course emphasis will be on using the editing software and developing a skill set necessary to make professional looking movies, in formats viewable on the web.
 
Level 2: students will build upon the digital filmmaking skills they acquired in Digital Filmmaking 1 by creating and editing their own movies with greater attention to detail and complexity. Course emphasis will be on furthering students’ understanding and use of industry-standard editing software

Description:
This course is a foundations course that introduces students to wood technology and project building and stresses the safe use of hand tools, portable tools, and basic production machines.

Description:
This course is a pathway completer course. Students will further develop their knowledge and techniques taught in Wood Design I. Upon completion of this course, students will be prepared for employment in the woodworking industry.

Masonry Tech I and II

Level II Grades: 10-12
 
Level I:
This course introduces students to the skills required in concrete masonry construction.  Students will understand the proper use of tools, materials and processes and demonstrate their use in the construction of brick masonry structures. Concrete learning with an emphasis in blocks of lessons will be emphasized.
 
Level II:
This is an intermediate year-long course that consists of lecture and lab hours that will prepare the student with the knowledge needed to enter into the masonry field. This course builds upon the information gained in the completion of Masonry I. This course introduces students to the skills required in concrete masonry construction. Students will understand the proper use of tools, materials and processes and demonstrate their use in the construction of brick masonry structures.

Description:
This foundation course meets the state’s computer literacy requirement. Students enrolled in this course will be prepared for both college and careers through the use of technology (Microsoft Office Suite), career exploration, employability, life, and learning skills.
 
Certification:
All students have the opportunity to earn MOS (Microsoft Office Specialist) certification in PowerPoint. Students may also earn a certificate in IC3, Key Applications (the first component).
 
Articulation:
Yes! Students who successfully pass this course with a “B” or better for two semesters and pass three five-minute timed writings at 25 wpm with no more than five errors, will earn three units of college credit at Chaffey Community College (BUST40).
